As part of a break from "Story Book", and in an effort to restore some older self-made prefabs, my latest is the Medieval Peasant Village. Originally made in Alpha 14.6, this was an attempt to show the way people lived in historical times.
Now upgraded to Alpha 16.4, it is situated on the same island as the Fort, the Castle, and the Story Book builds.
It has a general store, a jail, a guard tower, stables, a blacksmith's shop, and peasant workers' rooms with the Overseer's Office.
The Overseer's Office is, of course, grander than the peasant rooms, and is used for interviewing the workers, and considering their problems, and standard of labour.
In contrast: the simpler peasant rooms, with little more than a bed and a fire, and hay floor. Some will have "risen in the ranks" and have a slightly better room with box bed.
Of course, there will be a centralised well for taking in water, and the gallows, for thieves and miscreants!
For those of you who like a place to loot.. you will not be disappointed. Why not go explore and see if you can find some goodies?
